INSTRUCTION FOR AUTHORS

  • All abstracts and papers must be submitted in a correct language and written in Microsoft Office Word
  • Every paper must contain an abstract (minimum 150 and maximum 300 words) and keywords (up to 5 key words)
  • Papers should be written in English language and should contain up to 20.000 signs. For paper writing please use example for paper writing icon exam_paper_2013
  • Abstracts should be written in English language too. For abstract writing please use the example for abstract writing icon abstractENG_2013
  • The Abstract should present an overview of the document in maximum 300 words, presenting the purpose of the paper, some background if necessary, overall conclusions reached and managerial implications. Please remember that many Conference participants use the Abstract to decide whether to read the paper, and it should honestly and succinctly illustrate the substance of the paper as a whole, being neither too broad in its scope nor too detailed. While it is common to use some of the same sentences and phrases in the Abstract and Introduction, they should not be identical.
  • All abstracts and final papers (one copy in Word and one in PDF format) must be sent through e-mail address: logistika@efos.hr

  • Quotations may be Harvard style, that is abbreviated in parentheses. Specifies the first author, then year of publication and page number after the colon in which there is quoted text. Kärkkäinen states that An efficient data capture system can help solve the challenges that short shelf-life products present to supply chain management (Kärkkäinen, 2003, p. 534). If the source has two authors cite both surnames. According to often used definition, supply chain management is the coordination of production, inventory, location, and transportation among the participant sin a supply chain to achieve the best mix of responsiveness and efficiency for the market being served (Hugos & Thomas, 2006, p. 4-5). However, if the source has three or more authors you should write the name of the first author and add “et al” as in the case of text stating the reasons for holding inventory (Bloomberg et al., 2006, p. 135-139).   • Please prepare the manuscript according to the following instructions

Instructions for the appearance of paper

  • Manuscript must be in MS Word format (.doc or .docx).

  • To select the page size A4 (width 21 cm, height 29.7 cm).

  • Left and right margins: 4 cm.

  • Upper margin: 2.5 cm.

  • Lower margin: 7.7 cm.

  • For all text elements use font Times New Roman.

  • Do not number the pages.

 Elements of the paper

  • Title of the paper should be written in capital letters 12pt, bold, centered
  • After each title leave a blank line of 12 pt
  • Name and surname of the author 10 pt bold, centered.
  • Name of university/company, address, phone/fax, author’s e-mail address – all written in letters the size of 10pt, centered, each element in the new line, without blank lines between these elements, with one blank line of 10 pt after e-mail address.
  • Inscription Abstract size 10 pt, bold, italic, left alignment followed by a blank line size of 10 pt.
  • The abstract text written in letters of 10 pt. The text should have justify alignment, with the first-line indentation 0.7 cm, with no blank lines between paragraphs.
  • Key words written in letters of 10 pt, separated by commas and written hereafter behind the inscription Key words: (size 10pt, bold). Leave an empty line size of 10 pt.
  • Do the same for a Abstract and Key words in English
  • Titles of first level chapters should be written in capital letters, size 10 pt, bold and marked with Arabic numerals 1, 2, …
  • In front of the titles of first level chapters leave two blank lines size 10 pt, and behind a line of size 10 pt.
  • Titles of second-level chapters should be written with first capital letter, size 10 pt, bold and marked with 2.1., 2.2. …
  • Titles of third-level and higher chapters should be size 10 pt, italic and marked with 2.1.1., 2.1.2. …
  • In front of and behind the titles of second and higher level leave one blank line size of 10 pt.
  • The first chapter should carry the title of INTRODUCTION, The penultimate chapter CONCLUSION, and the last chapter REFERENCES.
  • The text of the article should be written in font size 10 pt, with Justify alignment, with first-line indentation 0.7 cm, and with no blank lines between paragraphs.
  • Footnotes write in font size 8 pt, with the left alignment of text.

 Figures and tables

  • Figures (graphs, diagrams and drawings) and tables should be included in the manuscript text and their size should not exceed the dimensions of page content (width to 13 cm, and height to 19.5 cm).
  • Tables and figures should be of high quality, grayscale and numbered in Arabic numerals.
  • In the front row of figure or table should be typed its title, and in a row below its source, without blank lines between title and image, and image and source. One blank line size of 10 pt should be left in front of the title and behind the source. Figures and tables should be placed near the text where the reference.
  • Source below figure or table shuold be written in font size 9pt.
  • Avoid the use of pictures in color as the final publication will be printed in black and white.

 References and sources of information

    • For a list of references use letter size of 10 pt, with Justify alignment without indentation.
    • References should be sequenced alphabetically by surname of first author.
    • Publications of the same author should be arranged by year of publication.
    • Among the references should not be any blank lines.
    • References must be numbered (with Arabic ordinal numbers).
