Reference books
Reference books are literature used as fastest and easiest way for exploring useful information, meanings of the words or instructions for further data searching for homework, reports and so on. They contain words sorted alphabetically which explain or represent meaning, ie. they indicate or denote something.
Reference literature are special collections in almost every library and they imply:
- in the narrow sense:
dictionaries
lexicons
encyclopedias
orthographies,
- in a broader sense:
atlases
grammar
various manuals
Reference books are not for borrowing and users can use them in our library.
